As I wrote in our previous open thread, we received an electronic payment in our fundraiser on Sunday. Essentially we were notified that a Kosack had donated $5 in order to test a simple and popular banking service.
The notification read:
You don't have to be a ________ Bank customer to get your money. You just need an email address and a U.S. bank account to do a one-time setup and receive your money. Your confirmation number is NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN. This transfer will expire if you don't accept it within 14 days of the date it was sent.
My credit union does not accept this type of electronic payment, so I plan to open an online account. At first I explored online banks, but I would prefer to use an online credit union.
Alliant Credit Union was recommended by mondanc, which only accepts online transfers.
Do you have any suggestions for an online credit union that allows members to accept and initiate online transfers to individuals?
