We Call for Video Proposals -
The spectrum of progressive issues splashes across the political landscape. Our first few videos have focused on civil rights and fusion politics. We call for suggestions in other progressive areas too. What is your major progressive-agenda item? Please put your thinking helmets on and suggest speeches you want us to transcribe.
We have had specific requests for transcription of “When the Stones Come Together” by Rev. Dr. William Barber II and “Get in Trouble - Good Trouble” by Congressman John Lewis. I do not think a transcript exists for the first; we will transcribe it. A transcript may exist for the second; we will find out.
We are not just requesting nominations for the videos that demonstrate the epitome of use of rhetorical devices or those of the top 1% of speakers like Reverend Barber or Congressman Lewis. What about your local candidate for congress who speaks well about the issues most important to you? What about climate chaos? What about LGBTIQ issues? What about voting rights? What about women's rights? What categories of progressive speeches do you want to see?
Question of the Day
When we called for "best speeches" in our introduction, we purposely left "best" undefined. What does "best" mean to you?
